A city full of song, music and singers ... that is 'Leuven beKOORt'! Leuven's amateur choir Kooruwel and cultural centre 30CC are setting up this brand-new and free choir festival. On Sunday 18 September 2022, this brand-new choir festival will celebrate its premiere, after being postponed twice due to the corona measures. For this first edition, many choirs have already signed up, but we still have quite a few spots available on our beautiful stages.
During Leuven beKOORt you can discover some 40 choirs – with just as many styles and moods – gathered together on one handkerchief.
The festival centre is located at the Velodroom (Brusselsestraat), and all singing venues (indoor and outdoor) are located within a radius of less than one kilometre. Three musical promenades past old and new locations also show a surprising slice of Leuven.
In this way we are creating a 'festival site'
... where everything sounds, bubbles and lives,
... where singers and audience meet each other,
... where food and drinks can be enjoyed and
... where everything is utterly enchanting and sounds!
