'The Twelve Cellists' – it's practically a household name worldwide, and everyone immediately knows it refers to those twelve from the Berlin Philharmonic. For reasons unknown, they've never performed as an ensemble on any stage in our country until now. Yet these 12 cello ambassadors travel the world like true apostles, winning over audiences to the cello and classical music. With great success!
October 28, 2026 is shaping up to be quite a historic date in music, and we hope that as a reader, you'll manage to snag a seat in Studio 4 at Flagey in Brussels. The cellists will treat you to a highly varied program – not too heavy on the serious stuff, there's got to be some real swing to it – after all, it's a first-time live encounter. Expect a mix of arrangements created especially for the ensemble (original compositions for 12 cellos aren't exactly lying around) and plenty of atmosphere.
