On the program is music that once accompanied court ceremonies and events from Henri IV to Louis XIV. Since consideration is also given to the development of instrument making, it offers the opportunity to hear the distinctive timbres of each era, in particular the first recording of the reconstructed "Bande de Grands Hautbois" from the early 17th century in its original instrumentation with twelve double-reed instruments.
