With this recording, Violetta Khachikyan releases her third solo album, dedicating herself to rarely performed works from the Renaissance, early Baroque, and Classical periods, which take on new sonic colors and vitality on the wings of the 21st century. Particularly noteworthy are the works of three female composers: Marianne von Martinez, Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, and Ekaterina Alexeyevna Vorontsova. Maurice Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin" is also represented; it reads as both a retrospective on Couperin and simultaneously a reinvented creation from old dances and forms.

Violetta Khachikyan was born in Russia, studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, and graduated with honors. She quickly recorded her first album and toured the world. She performed with orchestras and as a chamber musician. Since 2011, Khachikyan has lived in Germany and enjoys performing at festivals such as Beethovenfest Bonn and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
