The program of De warmste nacht van het talent is announced. From a selection of 27 submissions, 4 participants were chosen to present their warmest musical project in Mechelen.
On Thursday 7 December at 7pm, the Sint-Pieter en Paulkerk in Mechelen opens its doors to welcome musical talent. This is part of a new project by Festival van Vlaanderen Mechelen: De warmste nacht van het talent. This free project is part of the context of Mechelen houdt je warm. On the program are four ensembles and artists presenting their warmest musical projects.
Sweete Devils, with countertenor Korneel Van Neste and Justin Glaie on theorbe, takes you through the story of the Flemish Theorbe, from painting to instrument. Duo Apus presents a preview of their latest project Ecoduct, with saxophonist Andrea Van Acker and cellist Alexandre Bughin. Tubist Berlinde Deman lets you discover the special sounds of the serpent. Finally, organist Tom Van Der Plas and dancer Oona Van Aken join forces for the premiere of Axis Mundi with music by Philip Glass and J.S. Bach.
