With United Music of Brussels, the Belgian National Orchestra, De Munt and Bozar bring music to atypical locations throughout our capital. Over three days – on 24, 25 and 26 November – Brussels residents, music lovers and tourists can discover a musical route through the city. Walk from one location to another and be surprised by a series of mini-concerts organised by the three federal cultural institutions.
The mini-concerts along the musical route are performed by instrumentalists from the Belgian National Orchestra and De Munt. They form diverse ensembles, large and small, and let their imagination run free. An electro-acoustic clarinet? Check! A pianists' marathon? Check! Argentine tango concerts? Check! An 'interstellar solo horn'? Check! A performance of Nonetto by Nino Rota? Check!
Discover all this and much more during a walk through Brussels. You'll see the musicians at work in the covered arcades of Brussels' city centre and also at atypical places on the Zavel and in the Marollen.
Warmed up by the many mini-concerts? Then also visit the free concert on Friday evening 25 November in our Henry Le Boeuf Hall! There the Belgian National Orchestra under the baton of chief conductor Antony Hermus will perform, alongside film music and the symphonic poem Also sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, the world premiere of the First Symphony Ombres Célestes by Brussels resident Jean-Luc Fafchamps. He drew inspiration for this composition from spatial phenomena such as black holes, galaxies and the emptiness of the universe.

Day 1 | 24 November
19h30-23h Kick off United Music of Brussels with 7 small concerts of 30 minutes by musicians from De Munt at small atypical locations on the Zavel: the Zavelkerk and various galleries. All concerts are free to access, no registration required.
Day 2 | 25 November
12h-20h From Argentine music in the Ravensteingalerij, via the concertini (small afternoon concerts) in the Foyer of De Munt, to a large symphonic concert by the Belgian National Orchestra in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall of Bozar. Day 2 also promises something for everyone! All concerts are free to access, no registration required except for the two concerts at De Munt and Bozar. You can register now:
Day 3 | 26 November
11h30-21h United Music of Brussels concludes with a day full of music at De Munt, Cinéma Galaries, the Koninginnengazerie, Sint-Gorikshallen and many other locations. Today too, all concerts are free to access, no registration required.
