Semi-final programme
During each session, the audience hears four semi-finalists at work. The first two perform a concerto by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, chosen from the concerti KV207 (no. 1 in B flat), KV211 (no. 2 in D) and KV218 (no. 4 in D). They are accompanied by the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, conducted by Vahan Mardirossian.
After the interval, the next two violinists perform their recital with piano accompaniment. The jury selects one of two recital programmes proposed by the candidate, which contain works of their choice, as well as an unpublished compulsory work by Charlotte Bray, The Sun and her Flowers, specially written for this edition (world premiere on Monday 13 May 2024 at 3 p.m.). The composer will be present throughout the week and is available for interviews.
The jury's programme selection is communicated to the candidate the day before their performance and subsequently added to the calendar on our website.

Broadcast
Thanks to the VRT and the RTBF, the candidates' performances are live-streamed on the KEW website. From the semi-final onwards, you can also follow everything on Klara, VRT CANVAS and VRTMAX. On Saturday 18 May, the announcement of the 12 finalists around midnight will also be broadcast live.
Jury members
The composition of the jury may vary from round to round, but the jury members sit throughout the entire round for which they are requested. In the semi-final, these are: Gilles Ledure (Chair), Augustin Dumay, Miriam Fried, Lorenzo Gatto, Philippe Graffin, Koichiro Harada, Dong-Suk Kang, Kyung Sun Lee, Midori, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Baiba Skride and Isabelle van Keulen.
