The consequences of the invasion by the Russian army in Ukraine are disastrous for the Ukrainian population, including numerous artists and staff of cultural organizations active in the country. The invasion sharpens global relations and undermines the sense of security everywhere. This aggression must stop immediately.
In solidarity with the Ukrainian population and because classical music connects and comforts, BOZAR, Concertgebouw Brugge, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, DE SINGEL, Flagey, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and l'Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège join forces for 'Classical Music for Ukraine', a large-scale, national benefit multi-day event from March 25 to 29 in various cities.
Many national and international artists are participating! Alain Platel, Vilde Frang, Herbert Schuch, Daan Vandewalle, Youth Orchestra Flanders, Anu Tali, Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort, Andreas Staier, Fazil Say, Alexandre Kantorow and Daniel Müller-Schott.
The proceeds go to Ukraine 12-12.
