For her debut album, South Korean flutist Jeehee Han has devoted herself to three works by Carl Reinecke (1824-1910) alongside renowned musical partners, a composer who had a decisive influence on the Romantic flute repertoire.

Han has had a close connection to Reinecke's music since her youth: "I fell in love with his works when I was thirteen," she says. This personal bond runs like a golden thread throughout the entire album and gives the program an unmistakable signature.

In the famous Undine Sonata, Jeehee Han performs alongside star pianist Lang Lang. About her interpretation, he says: "Jeehee has put her whole heart into this music. I am delighted to be part of this beautiful project."

For the Flute Concerto in D Major and the Ballade in D Minor for flute and orchestra, Han is accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Vasily Petrenko. "Miracles happened when we played together," the South Korean describes the collaboration.

The result is a debut that not only sheds new light on Reinecke's music, but also makes its timeless quality impressively tangible.
