The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Radio Choir, led by chief conductor Karina Canellakis, present two late masterworks by Sergei Rachmaninov: "The Bells" and the "Symphonic Dances". In "The Bells", a broad emotional range unfolds from luminous sonorities to dramatic intensifications and moments of quiet transcendence. The soloists Dmytro Popov, Kristina Mkhitaryan and Alexander Vinogradov, along with the choir, create a colorful, vocally resonant interpretation. The "Symphonic Dances" showcase Rachmaninov's late orchestral mastery, balancing rhythmic energy, nostalgic reflection and powerful finality. Karina Canellakis, internationally acclaimed for her interpretive intensity and technical precision, shapes both works into a concentrated and expressive performance.
