The pieces on this album contain layer upon layer of sensitive palimpsests (further developments of the style of earlier composers), through which other emotions resonate. The transcriptions deviate from the original text only to better express and honor its spirit. Our greatest wish would be that these beautiful pieces would recover what they have lost in authenticity through the enthusiasm, passion, and love that guided us during our work. For in this field especially, it matters less to prove something and more to experience something.
