Organ builder Marc Nagels specializes in breathing new life into vintage instruments, infusing them with his own distinctive sonic aesthetic. This recording showcases three of 'his' masterpieces. In the Belgian municipality of Nieuwerkerken, a German organ found a new home in a Belgian organ case. The Ruef organ in Stevoort received new windwork to sound clearer and more convincing. The majestic three-manual organ in Zonhoven was allowed to retain its versatile character. Modifications to the higher registers and the foundation tone of the lower voices lend the sound brilliance and harmonic balance.
