Works for Piano and Orchestra

Giovanni Bellucci, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Daniele Callegari

Catalogue number: 310

As serial number 1000 Da Vinci Classics treats itself to a special highlight in its catalogue: a live recording of a concert with the renowned Italian pianist Giovanni Bellucci and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI conducted by Daniele Callegari. The programme contained works for piano and orchestra by Ferruccio Busoni. It includes Busoni's arrangement of Liszt's Rhapsodie espagnole with the swirling rhythms of the Folies d'Espagne and the Jota Aragonesa ; the magnificent Concertino BV 292 ; and the exotic-sounding Indian Fantasy Op. 44 , which reflects Busoni's impressions of the sounds of the New World.
