Joseph Haas (1879-1960) composed a relatively large number of works for women's choir. This CD offers a cross-section of his work in this field: ranging from cycles of folk songs to cantatas in praise of music or nature. The Munich Women's Choir under the direction of Katrin Wende-Ehmer performs these works, partly together with pianist Susanne Miltschitzky, with great expressiveness.
