Saint-Saëns - Cello Concerto

After winning the first edition of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for cello in 2017, Victor Julien-Laferrière developed into a versatile conductor. With this programme, he takes on a double role: as soloist and conductor. He takes us on a journey through 400 years of music, which begins and ends in the Baroque. The starting point is the Third Orchestral Suite by Bach with the famous Air, then he treats us to a solo from the First Cello Concerto by Saint-Saëns, and via the Haffner Symphony by Mozart we arrive at Escaich.
