Macbeth - Giuseppe Verdi

Driven by the dark prophecies of a circle of witches and by the consuming ambition of his wife, Macbeth lands in a merciless spiral that leads him to the throne of Scotland — and to madness. After the murder of King Duncan, he is consumed by lust for power and hunts down everyone who threatens him. Tormented by remorse, haunted by the ghosts of his victims and broken by the death of his wife, he inexorably slides towards the collapse of his reign.
