More info
The different settings of the 42nd Psalm and other sacred works heard on this CD offer different answers to the human need for consolation. Central is always the path between lamentation and hope. The juxtaposition of the solo bass (Dominik Wörner), who represents the human soul, and a string ensemble offers the composers the opportunity to make intense emotional processes audible in the works recorded for the first time by the Kirchheim DübenConsort under the direction of Jörg-Andreas Bötticher.
