Pierre Dumoussaud conducts a "dream orchestra" consisting of chamber musicians who perform regularly during the Easter Festival of Deauville (Festival de Paques). The program features an unusual two-part work by Schönberg: the two "Chamber Symphonies," which are as rich in detail as they are moving and testify to the inner struggle and experiences of the composer at the beginning of the 20th century. In a version for string orchestra, the work "Langsamer Satz" by Anton Webern, a student of Schönberg, completes the program with all its romantic passion as a counterpoint.
